The Problem
A bespoke postal recycling workflow worked for one business, but the same operational pattern appeared across completely different markets. Rebuilding it for every merchant would waste the underlying idea.
The Idea
Separate the reusable postal buy-in engine from any one merchant. Make branding, domains, mail, workflows and integrations tenant-configurable, then let each business operate as its own service.
What We Built
A Laravel multi-tenant platform with platform and tenant administration, domain routing, infrastructure provisioning, mail integration, audit logging and configurable seller workflows.
How It Evolved
ScrapCable.com proved the workflow. Auctions @ Number One showed that the same engine could support appraisal rather than recycling. That changed the project from a website into infrastructure.
Engineering
Tenant isolation is treated as a hard boundary. State changes are auditable, schema changes are migrated, infrastructure is API-driven and tenant-specific behaviour stays outside the core.
Where It Is Now
The platform is under active engineering as the reusable foundation for postal buy-back, appraisal and trade-in businesses.
